DALLAS (August 15, 2016) – Cypress Equities * (“Cypress”) announced today that it has closed on the acquisition of Maple Tree Place, the dominant retail center in Williston, VT. The center is comprised of 488,975 square feet of mixed use retail and office space. Maple Tree Place is located at the intersection of Route 2 and 2A, known as Taft Corners, in the fast growing area of Chittenden County. Maple Tree Place is a premier retail center, located in Chittendan County, the most populous area in the state of Vermont. Currently, the property is anchored by national tenants such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, Old Navy, Best Buy, Shaw’s and Christmas Tree Shops.

“Chittenden County’s affluence and upscale demographics made Maple Tree Place an attractive acquisition,” said Chris Maguire, chief executive officer for Cypress. “Our development plans for the center will further enhance the project’s appeal to customers, as well as prospective stores and restaurants.”Cypress’ plans for the property include a signature calendar of events that will activate the central park area, upgrades to center lighting, signage, landscaping, along with new stores and restaurants. “We are looking forward to becoming a strong community partner and positioning Maple Tree Place as a gathering spot for locals and tourists in the area.” said Todd Anderton, vice president of marketing for Cypress. Leasing will be conducted by Mark Ross with Cypress and Steve Donahue with Donahue & Associates.
