Construction is underway as the manager of Bayshore undertakes a major overhaul of the shopping center in Glendale. Check out the attached slideshow to get a look at the construction work in progress at the prominent retail center.
Cypress Equities, the Dallas-based manager of the retail complex, is redeveloping Bayshore in a project expected to be complete by the end of this year. When finished, Bayshore will have less square footage overall, and it will devote less space to retail.
For example, the developer has proposed four apartment buildings along North Lydell Avenue.
Bayshore visitors can also expect new tenants, including Erik’s, Total Wine & More and Target.
Besides updating the tenant roster, Cypress has been re-envisioning the complex’s aesthetic.
On Friday, for instance, Bayshore’s new town square, called “The Yard,” opened to the public. The developer characterizes The Yard as a family-friendly community green space. Cypress said it intends to use the town square area for live entertainment and activities.
In addition, Cypress has added immersive art installations at Bayshore. Local artist Emma Daisy curated the collection, the developer said. Visitors can expect creations by muralists, fine artists, sculptors, fabricators, illustrators and animators.
